A west-facing residence on the Aouama ridge, held for an owner in Geneva who visits twice a year.

The house takes the weather first. Everything on the western elevation — ironwork, shutters, render, glazing seals — sits on a shortened inspection cycle because of it, and has done since the first winter we held it.
In 2021 the terrace waterproofing was lifted and relaid before it failed rather than after. It is the single intervention the owner has never had to think about, which is the point of it.
